Privacy policy

This website belongs to ElvixTech, a software development team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We decide how the information described here is used. You can reach us at hello@elvixtech.com or on +91 99791 52048.

We only collect personal information when you send it to us through one of two forms.

The contact form asks for:

• your name, email address and, if you choose, a phone number and company name;
• what your enquiry is about, the subject and your message;
• optionally, the service you are interested in, a budget range and a timeline;
• your agreement that we may contact you about the enquiry.

The “Ask a question” form on the contact page asks for your question and, if you choose, your name and an email address so we can tell you when it is answered.

When either form is sent, our server also records the date and time, your IP address and your browser's user agent (the short text that identifies your browser). We use these only to protect the forms from spam and abuse, for example to limit how many messages one address can send in a short time.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as passwords, payment card details or health information, in your message.

• to read your enquiry and reply to you;
• to send you one automatic email confirming we received your message, with a reference number;
• to keep a record of the enquiry while we discuss and, if you go ahead, work on your project;
• to answer questions sent through the “Ask a question” form and, if you gave an email address, to tell you when yours is answered;
• to prevent spam and misuse of the forms.

Questions are asked so we can answer them in public: if we answer yours, we may publish the question and our answer on this website for everyone to read. We never publish your email address. If you would rather your question stayed private, use the contact form instead.

We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list. We use it on the basis of your request to be contacted and your agreement on the form.

Enquiries and questions are stored in our own database and can be seen only by members of our team with administrator access, apart from any question and answer we publish as described above. To run the website we rely on service providers that host the site, our server and our email; they process the information only to provide that service to us. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

We keep enquiries and questions for as long as we need them to reply to you and to manage any work that follows. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will remove it from our database and, if it was published, from the website.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your agreement to be contacted. Email hello@elvixtech.com from the address you used on the form, so we can find your enquiry and confirm it is yours.

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not use an analytics service. It saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage, which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

• whether you chose the light or dark theme;
• which items you ticked in the checklists of the Resource Library.

You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Some pages show content hosted by other companies. When your browser loads it, that company receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy:

• the map on the contact page is provided by Google Maps;
• some photographs are loaded from Unsplash;
• some service demonstration videos are loaded from Google Cloud Storage.

Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Instagram take you to those services, which handle your information under their own policies.

The contact form sends your information over an encrypted connection, access to stored enquiries requires an administrator account, and the form is protected against automated spam. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. Please do not send us information about a child.
